Favorite Fraction to Play?

What's your favorite Faction to play?

In the Warhammer 40K universe there is a large amount of Factions to play as. All have their disadvantages such as weak armor/no armor and they all have their advantages such as strong weapons.

So what I wish to know is what is your favorite faction and why?

My favorite army has got to be the Eldar. Given their weak armor as their disadvantage I favorite the Eldar because they have slightly strong weapons, Camouflage for both units and base's. Having their Ranger squad with snipers that destroy squad moral with a single shot from each unit, and the fact they are able to use Camouflage to hide from their targets and Scout the map without any problems.

WarHammer board game

Have you ever played the Warhammer Board game?

Warhammer originally started as the table top board game. With both Warhammer (Fantasy) and Warhammer 40K (Fantasy Futuristic) board game. Both rapidly expanding with multiple different armies, color schemes, optional parts, build styles and many different types ranging from Infantry & Heavy Infantry to vehicles.

The board game you could also either travel into your local Games Workshop to play/build & Paint your army on their table top maps, Or you could build your own at home using either pre-made scenery such as plants, buildings ect, or make your own and personalize them completely.

Making a board to play the table top game can either be a cheaply thrown together board or randomly placed scenery thrown out on a table/flat surface. Or if you have the money, time and patience you could build something to look fantastic and make it worth your time on playing on.

But what I want to know is either have you ever wanted to play the table top or have you actually played the game? With at Armies?

I have played the Table top game with the fallowing armies in the faction styles:

Space Marines - Ultramarines

Chaos Marines - Black Legion

Necron - Custom (Primary - Gun metal Gray Secondary - Blood Red)

Eldar - Tir-Val

Opinions on the new Warhammer 40K MMORPG

The new Warhammer 40K MMORPG is called Eternal Crusade. The game is currently in beta testing. Sadly you need to purchase the game at the current time but from the looks of things on the website it should be going to FREE TO PLAY! Hopefully it does, the game will probably hold micro transactions which not a lot of people will be happy about.

The playable Races.

For any MMORPG there will always be races or factions to chose from. In Enternal Crusade there is both of that. You can chose Space Marine, Chaos Marine, Ork and The Eldar as a playable race. Within each race there is 4 different factions to chose from. Each consisting of a different color scheme and banners. It has been released that there will become a 5th race to play as and that will be the Tyranid from the board game. This can be bought from one of the higher funding packs.

Funders Packages.

Since the game is still currently in beta and the developers will turn to the general public and fans to help with the funding. They have and they have done this by using Funders Packages. There are different packages and they are all at different prices. Personally I believe that some of the funder packages are a bit over expensive. But here are the Funder Packages.

Game play.

Enternal Crusade will play like any other MMORPG, with the leveling and game play, At the current time there is little information about the game play, but because they have listed the game as an MMORPG we get the gist of what they are going to make.

From what footage and information I have read about it from the Alpha the game will play out like a third person shooter MMORPG. Which to me sounds a little weird and sounds hard for the developers to create, so here's hoping being a fan myself that they make a good game!

What is your favorite way to play WarHammer 40K?

Everyone who has either heard or part take in WarHammer or WarHammer 40k knows its a table top game. Warhammer 40k is set in the far future and was created in 1987. Created and sold from

For WarHammer 40K for years they have brought out books and many games over the many years. The Warhammer game craze started back in 1991 and has continued with some games being shut down and others being big sellers. Here is a link to a list of all of the games : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Games_Workshop_video_games

So the point in this blog is to ask you the viewers is what is your favorite Warhammer 40K game? I will give my person choice and explain my reasons for selecting the game title.

My Favorite Warhammer 40K Game

Personally my top of all Warhammer 40K game title has to be Dawn of War. I have played Dawn of War since the release, I have also played all of the expansions and own all of it. Still to this very day I play it because I have had so much fun playing games against people online and in tournaments at LANS (Local Area Network) getting to play as my favorite factions: Space Marines, Chaos Marines and Elder.
Dawn of War was one of the first few Real time Strategy games I had ever played and because it wasn't  World War 2 styled but it was Fantasy Future had made the game so much more interesting to me. While being able to play Dawn of War with all of my friends at a LAN And even in tournaments made it even better because we all got very competitive and played our own favorite faction.

Army Painter

Away from just being able to play the game I actually collected WarHammer 40K models and painted them, Since the release of Dawn of War I was able to use the Army Painter feature to help make my own personal design for panting my models then use the design in both Dawn of War and on the actual table top game. This was a bonus to me saving me from drawing out the model and then have to color or paint the drawing.

Game Play

The game play of Dawn of War was brilliant to me because of the many different rules and battle types. The main rules that made the game better for me is the fact that just a simple battle (1v1) it was still a capture and hold battle as well as a deathmatch. Having to capture the strategic points and build power generators in order to build your army added that bit more to do in the game by expanding your base and being able to build even more. My favorite battle types was simply Team Deathmatch and Free for all because both set many different challenges.

Graphics

For Dawn of War being 11 years old I have to say the graphics for the time are amazing because of the fine detail that are on the maps and character models. Every character model takes very well to custom designs and the detail for every individual character on the map adds in some good creativity. All of the maps are very different with environment type, faction environment visuals and environment design. This making every map looking individual and all look amazing.

What's your favorite?

Now let me know what you think about this blog and also what is your favorite WarHammer game and why.
